11 June 2024 Keith Rix 2386 Case Updates M v N (Approved) [2023] IEHC 759 by Keith Rix “The voice of the child” The Case The Applicant and the Respondent were married. The court affirmed the Order of the Circuit Family Court in granting a Decree of Judicial Separation. Such Decree may only be granted if proper provision has been made or can be made for the dependent children, in this case aged 16 and 8 years. The judge said that she was assisted by the reports and the evidence of the section 32 expert assessor (a psychologist) in this case.
