EWI Team completes London Legal Walk

byWiebke Morgan

Once again the EWI team (Peter Mulhern, Governor - Wiebke Morgan, Membership Manager - Priya Vaidya, Web & Communications Officer, and Simon Berney-Edwards, CEO) joined nearly 10,000 walkers from 730 teams on the London Legal Walk on 28th of June. We covered 10 kms and would be grateful for any donation to reach our fundraising goal of £700. For example, £25.00 covers the cost of organising a pro-bono legal advice appointment.

This annual fundraising event is more important than ever. Over the last two years advice agencies have reported a six-fold increase in requests for help.  This number is expected to grow as the cost-of-living crisis deepens. This means even more people facing life-changing issues around debt, housing, employment, Universal Credit, domestic violence, and more.
